We Are Recruiting Board & Audit Committee Members

Could you contribute to the continued success of a small housing association focusing on Cirencester Town and the surrounding rural communities?

As part of our succession planning, we are looking to appoint two exceptional candidates as non-executive board and/or audit committee members to contribute to the future success of a housing association that has been in existence since 1949.

As a non-executive board and committee member you will demonstrate a passion for the social purpose of a small housing association to provide affordable housing and services that enable and sustain local communities and help people have a place to call home. 

In addition to meeting the general requirements of a Board Member, we are particularly looking for candidates who can contribute in one or more of the following areas:

  • Lived experience similar to that of the Cirencester Housing’s customers
  • Strong connection & commitment to the local community in Cirencester and surrounding rural areas
  • Asset management, particularly on regeneration & sustainability
  • Willingness to also serve on our audit committee

The annual commitment is 6 evening board meetings a year and a half-day or full-day focusing on strategy discussions.

As an Audit Committee Member you will ideally have some or all of the following experience:

  • Health & safety experience
  • GDPR / IT security experience
  • Risk management or audit experience

The annual commitment is 4 audit committee meetings a year and volunteering to performing at least one desktop audit a key business area.
