What We Do
Cirencester Housing owns and manages homes, and works with local communities, developers and partners to develop new affordable housing. Our customer service is based on having personable relationships with our tenants, supporting them in their tenancy and providing safe and cost-effective housing. Our approach is to be kind, respectful and responsive thus demonstrating our personal service.
Cirencester Housing is committed to increasing the number of affordable homes we offer over the next 10 years, especially in rural and village communities.
We Have Grown
Cirencester Housing has increased its stock by 20% over the last five years by utilising spare land and working with developers in villages within the Cotswold District.
We have worked with the local parish councils of North Cerney and Bagendon to help them to bring 12 affordable homes to meet their local housing need.
In addition, we have expanded into providing property services to other like-minded local small landlords who offer homes at below market rent.
Collaborating & Our Partners
As a small housing association, we know that the best way to make a difference and achieve more is by working with others. As such we have a high emphasis on collaboration and a partnering approach to our business.
Rural Development
We have partnered with English Rural, specialist provider of community-led, affordable rural homes and one of the leading national advocates on affordable rural housing issues. Together we will endeavour to build affordable homes in rural villages helping to build and keep communities together.
Cirencester Housing is a long-standing member of the Gloucestershire Rural Housing Partnership. With the Local Authorities of Gloucestershire and other local housing associations, we collaborate with local communities to identify unmet housing need in rural areas, promote opportunities for rural housing development, and share innovation and best practice. Contact us if you would like to find out more.
As a member of the Rural Housing Alliance (RHA), we pledge to work with and for rural communities by working in partnership with the Rural Services Network and National Housing Federation to develop and manage homes in rural areas across England.
Other Partnering Relationships
Cirencester Housing has entered into a partnering arrangement with our repairs and maintenance contractor, NKS Contracts. By doing so, we provide assurance of quality and continuity of service while delivering value for money to our tenants.
